Sully’s Hope
BSCAR is committing to a new mission in 2024 (while continuing to do everything else we currently do). We are honoring the pup in this photo. We learned that Sully was tragically euthanized after getting in a fight with another male dog and bit the human that broke it up. Sully was 4 yo and had never been a fight before. We were not contacted per our contract to take Sully back and get him evaluated - which we would have done wholeheartedly! We do know a few of the factors that may have led to this awful choice and we are DETERMINED to honor him with this new commitment so his life wasn’t cut short in vain. (THIS is why we screen owners and yet still feel we failed him and many tears have been shed.) The percentage rate of pit bulls being euthanized has gone up so this is where our mission - "Sully's Hope" came about. Throughout 2024, BSCAR is committed to working with residents of Big Stone County that own pitties to offer a vastly reduced fee to get them spayed or neutered.
